Tessa Kaye isn’t playing around when it comes to breakups, as seen in her debut track “Fools Gold.” From the very first verse you feel her Beyoncé-level of attitude and confidence, something that a lot of us lack especially when watching a relationship deteriorate.
Whether she is our new patron saint or best friend, Tessa Kaye has made an anthem for self-love and respect in her indie-electronic, almost hip-hop track “Fools Gold.”
The Los Angeles-based artist let’s us all know that it’s okay to love someone who might not be good (or good enough) for you anymore; that’s not the issue. The issue is letting them go and knowing that you deserve more. It isn’t easy, as Kaye let’s us know ‘it shines so bright sometimes it tricks me’ but by the end of the track, you know what you need to do. And, if you’re worried, just know that Tessa Kaye has your back.
